Indications
ligament injuries
bone fractures
ligament reconstructions
ankle replacement
arthrodesis
joint stiffness
Mobilization / Immobilization
The Künzli Ortho ankle boots provide the necessary stability after a foot operation, while at the same time providing comfort for the patient. The pair of shoes on both feet heals in a symmetrical gait without damage to posture or statics.
Stiches / Lesions
The wound needs to be properly cared for. This includes dressing changes and observation of the healing process. The stitches are removed after about 2 weeks. The patient should keep the swollen foot elevated. Recommended painkillers should be reduced over time.
General Tips
The doctor and physiotherapist inform the patient of acceptable use of the injured foot. Wearing the Künzli shoe allows for fast full use and joint movement. Joints and muscles are naturally stressed. Physiotherapy rehabilitates the patient. Driving a car is possible thanks to the Künzli shoe, provided that you are allowed to apply full weight to the foot.
